Cross-browser compatibility is something which refers to the ability of a website to function on all search engines. It is often confused with multi-browser which in fact are completely two different terms. When all search engines render a website properly, that site is known to have cross-browser compatibility. It is a crucial aspect in web design and webmasters need to take this point into consideration while designing a website. There are a number of tools which can be used to test cross-browser compatibility. Some of the names are Adobe BrowserLab, Browsershots, SuperPreview and BrowseEmAll.
